Nowadays many people speak of peace and love. But who actually strives for those things? The problem is that people try to deal with it by their own efforts. It is impossible to love another person if you don't love yourself because you cannot give away something you don't have in you. You need to understand that you were, are, and will be loved forever.
To this day Jesus has always been a great example for me. He showed me how to love people as they are. Fat or skinny, tall or short, black or white, male or female, no matter what orientation.
With my three pictures, which are self-portraits, I want to describe what people do to others. And it's not about the outer but the inner. We often hurt others with words or action, we judge others without looking at us first and seeing our own mistakes.
When I shot my pictures I played around with colours. For me it is clear that everything starts with our minds. When our minds are healthy we are healthy as well. I associate black with something negative, white with something positive and red with love. And we are able to choose either "black" or "white". Everyone has their own mind and their own understanding of good and bad. But love is the only thing that connects us all.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16 (NIV)
