“Poetics of Perception” examines the nature of memory, identity, and body as a social form through Kristine Tusiashvili’s video works. Her installations engage viewers in a layered inquiry and recreates “visual novels” extending the boundaries of physicality and abstraction. Through a precise manipulation of image, perspective, and spatial relations, Tusiashvili’s practice invites reflection on the fragmented and often elusive nature of human experience.

Drawing on her background in performance and photography, Tusiashvili crafts a distinct visual language that recontextualizes everyday gestures and objects, critically examining how personal and collective narratives are shaped. Her work captures the tension between individuality and social expectations, bringing into focus the performative aspects of identity and the pervasive influence of societal norms on self-perception.

In “Poetics of Perception” Tusiashvili’s video pieces exploring human experience, inviting viewers to reconsider concepts of identity, memory, and the body within a contemporary context marked by constant change and complexity.
